Jayson Douglas (He/Him) is from Paterson, NJ where he began his training at Dance World Academy. He went on to further his training at Steps on Broadway, BDC, and The Ailey School. Jayson also attended Point Park University as a dance major. While there he also attended summer programs at Dance Place, Orlando Ballet 2, and Boston Ballet all on full scholarships. Jayson’s professional career began as a Trainee with NCDT, now known as Charlotte Ballet. Jayson then went on to dance for Lexington Ballet, Ballet Theatre of Maryland, Ballet Nouveau Colorado and one of the top 25 to watch companies named in Dance Magazine, Company C Contemporary Ballet, there he was featured in Twyla Tharp’s “Surfer in the Styx”. He has also performed around the world on cruise lines as a dancer and aerialist. He is a resident choreographer with MidState Ballet, Sarah Berges Dance, and teaches masterclasses around the country as well as internationally. In April 2014 he toured to Paris, France with Sarah Berges Dance. Currently on his 2nd season dancing with James Sewell Ballet. And will be touring with the company in December to perform in the Cannes Dance Festival in Cannes, France. He is looking forward to joining Ballet Co. Laboratory in the Spring as a guest artist. 

He teaches ballet throughout the Twin Cities. Along with guest teaching and adjudicating dance competitions throughout the country.
