The Performing Arts Division at the School of Ballet Co.Laboratory is a comprehensive year-round program designed to train students ages 6 - 22 in the art of Classical Ballet. Students perform alongside our professional Company Artists in two mainstage productions each season in addition to several other performances held annually in our Studio Theater.

Students in the Performing Arts Division train in classical ballet technique, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT), pointe, variations, partnering, and select alternative dance genres. Included in the Upper School’s weekly class schedules are repertoire sessions held to prepare for performances throughout the season. In the Lower School, student have the opportunity to opt-in to performance opportunities, which include repertoire sessions outside of the weekly class schedule.

There are additional training opportunities within the Upper School such as Junior Company, Trainee Program, and Private Coaching for acclaimed national ballet competitions such as the Youth America Grand Prix. See more about these Programs below.

Students of Ballet Co.Laboratory have gone on to post-secondary programs such as Joffrey NY, Ailey/Fordham University, Butler University, University of Missouri-Kansas City and have attended Summer Intensive Programs at Boston Ballet, Visceral Dance Chicago, Ballet Austin, Joffrey NY, Sacramento Ballet, Kaatsbaan, and Oregon Ballet Theater.
