Thank you for participating in our COVID protocol survey earlier this month. We value your insight as we continue to navigate what is best for our students and staff. After much discussion about the current COVID landscape and taking into account survey responses across our Drop-In, Pre-Professional, and Young Dancer Programs we have decided to make the following updates to our COVID Protocols at Ballet Co.Laboratory.

Effective April 16, 2022

Temperature Checks | The front desk will no longer take temperatures of anyone entering our space as the CDC no longer recommends to do so. Dancers and guardians, please continue to check in at the front desk for studio announcements and updates. As always, if you feel ill, please stay home.

Drop-In Classes | Starting Saturday, masks are optional for drop-in students and staff once you are in class. Please make sure to continue to wear your mask in common areas. For continued precaution, we will keep class capacity at 60%. If the Twin Cities starts to spike, we will return to being masked at all times.

Young Dancer Classes | Due to the fact that these dancers are not yet eligible to receive their vaccination, all students and staff will continue to wear masks while in class and in common areas for the remainder of the spring sessions. We will reevaluate protocols for the summer sessions.

Pre-Professional Classes | Due to the fact that our production of Firebird is in six weeks, students will continue to wear masks in class and rehearsals in-studio through the rest of the semester. Please remember all cast members need a COVID test prior to the Firebird tech week taken between May 15-17. If case numbers continue to remain low, we will remove the mask protocol for Summer Programs. (FYI - we have confirmation that 90% of our Pre-Pro students and 100% of our staff are vaccinated)

Please know Ballet Co.Laboratory will continue to be attentive to CDC guidelines and public school protocols moving forward.
